What is this?

The "Hubble Ultra Deep Field" (HUDF) is one of the deepest images of space ever captured. All of the points of light in the image are galaxies filled with stars! The entire image is from a section of sky the size of a 1mm square held 1 meter away (or one thirteen-millionth of the total sky area). X

Did you know?

The oldest object in the universe that humans have observed is in this picture. It's a sprightly 13 billion years old (actually a bit older, but don't say I told you that). Can you find it?
